Bounce This Along
The U.S. Postal service sent out a message to all letter carriers to put a sheet of Bounce in their uniform pockets to keep yellow-jackets away.
Use them all the time when playing baseball and soccer. I use it when I am working outside. It really works. The insects just veer around you.
All this time you've just been putting Bounce in the dryer!
1. It will chase ants away when you lay a sheet near them. It also repels mice.
2. Spread sheets around foundation areas, or in trailers, or cars that are sitting and it keeps mice from entering your vehicle.
3. It takes the odor out of books and photo albums that don't get opened too often.
4. It repels mosquitoes. Tie a sheet of Bounce through a belt loop when outdoors during mosquito season.
5. Eliminate static electricity from your television (or computer) screen.
6. Since Bounce is designed to help eliminate static cling, wipe your television screen with a used sheet of Bounce to keep dust from resettling.
7. Dissolve soap scum from shower doors. Clean with a sheet of Bounce.
8. To freshen the air in your home - Place an individual sheet of Bounce in a drawer or hang in the closet.
9. Put Bounce sheet in vacuum cleaner.
10. Prevent thread from tangling. Run a threaded needle through a sheet of Bounce before beginning to sew.
11. Prevent musty suitcases. Place an individual sheet of Bounce inside empty luggage before storing.
12. To freshen the air in your car - Place a sheet of Bounce under the front seat.
13. Clean baked-on foods from a cooking pan. Put a sheet in a pan, fill with water, let sit overnight, and sponge clean. The anti-static agent apparently weakens the bond between the food and the pan..
14. Eliminate odors in wastebaskets. Place a sheet of Bounce at the bottom of the wastebasket.
15. Collect cat hair. Rubbing the area with a sheet of Bounce will magnetically attract all the loose hairs.
16. Eliminate static electricity from Venetian blinds.. Wipe the blinds with a sheet of Bounce to prevent dust from resettling.
17. Wipe up sawdust from drilling or sand papering. A used sheet of Bounce will collect sawdust like a tack cloth.
18. Eliminate odors in dirty laundry. Place an individual sheet of Bounce at the bottom of a laundry bag or hamper.
19. Deodorize shoes or sneakers. Place a sheet of Bounce in your shoes or sneakers overnight.
20. Golfers put a Bounce sheet in their back pocket to keep the bees away.
21. Put a Bounce sheet in your sleeping bag and tent before folding and storing them. It will keep them smelling fresh.
22. Wet a Bounce sheet, hose down your car, and wipe love bugs off easily with the wet Bounce.
23. Put a sheet of Bounce in your suitcase when traveling, it will help keep mites or any other critters out of it. While you are at it, travel with several Bounce sheets and run them up and down your bed linen before getting into bed, it will cause all the critters already in your bed to run. Keep a sheet in your suitcase even after you have unpacked to protect your suitcases from bugs nesting in it.

I cannot believe I am reading this highly Toxic article that is suppose to do all this Good? stuff for us. I say BS... this C R A P is causing a lot of major health issues and will probably be banned when our real gov gets taken back.....

Toxic World
An alternative to fabric softener? Why would anybody want to replace a product that does so much? It eliminates static cling, softens, and makes our clothing and linens smell April fresh. Well it turns out there are many reasons for wanting to find an alternative. The least being that fabric softeners and dryer sheets tend to make towels less absorbent. But the biggest reason is the health issue. The Allergy and Environmental Health Association lists both the liquid and dryer sheet fabric softeners as being "the most toxic product produced for daily household use." The list of ingredients used in fabric softeners reads more like a list for use in chemical warfare than for something that is supposed to make our lives more pleasant. Exposure to these toxins can cause a whole slew of health problems including but not limited to: nausea, headache, kidney disorders, heart disorders, skin disorders, central nervous system disorders, respiratory disorders, depression, and death. After reading that list who would want to wrap their baby in a blanket that had been laundered with fabric softener? Who would want to wipe their face on a towel or wear clothing that had been in a dryer with a dryer sheet? It doesn't sound like anything I would want my loved ones or myself snuggling up to.
So what can we use to eliminate the static and make our clothing soft? There are those spiky looking plastic dryer balls that are supposed to work pretty well when tossed into the dryer with your clothes. But before you rush out to purchase them, keep in mind that they are made of PVC. The manufacture of PVC produces toxic byproducts. In fact, PVC is considered to be one of the most toxic plastics ever created. During it's manufacture dioxins are created. Dioxin is known as being the strongest carcinogen there is. Not only does PVC create environmental and health hazards when it is being manufactured but also during the life and disposal of the product. So while PVC balls are supposed to safely replace fabric softeners it is actually not a safe choice.
Well how about tossing a couple of tennis balls into the dryer. They are supposed to work pretty well at decreasing static cling and softening fabric. That might not be a bad idea for a lot of people. However, if you have a latex allergy, keep in mind that tennis balls are made of rubber, which is latex. Latex allergies can be severe. Anybody can become allergic to latex. The greater the exposure, the greater the risk of acquiring a latex allergy. So heating up rubber tennis balls and having them tumble around with linens and clothing might not be such a wise choice either.
A wadded up ball of aluminum foil added to the dryer is said to control static. It's listed as a safe alternative to softeners. But I have to wonder about that one because aluminum is a heavy metal which is associated with Alzheimer's Disease. It is listed as one of the ingredients in antiperspirant which poses a health risk. Is it possible that minute amounts of aluminum could prove to be unhealthful by winding up on clothing which is in continual contact with our skin?
The safest option appears to be adding cup of vinegar or baking soda to the rinse cycle. Vinegar will help to remove detergent from fabrics which is an added bonus.
While we struggle to find the safest, most effective way to launder our clothing and linens we have to wonder why our government deems the chemicals used in fabric softeners to be safe when they are clearly not.
google .... search why all commercial fabric softners are so toxic to everything.... If all the critters run from it what does that tell you?? If you are having health challanges this stuff could be the culprit...
Hmmm....I'm a little concerned that Bounce scares all those critters away, including bees!
Just how toxic is it?!...critters know! I know when I smell it coming from someone's dryer, often excessively used, it makes me ill?! Like so many things in this day and age, it may solve some problems, but at what cost to our health and well being??!! Take care!
