Very cool. Think they love their dad?

I'm a car guy too. My dad worked in an oldsmobile dealership for several years when I was a very young boy. I spent a lot of time in that dealership myself, some sitting on the parts counter watching my dad work, some roaming around the garage visiting with the mechanics and some in the showroom ogling the newest models. My favorite place was the garage. The sights, sounds and smells of an auto garage are the greatest.

Every May in my home town we had the Tri-State music festival. At the end of the event all of the participating high school bands took part in a parade. The Olds dealership was the starting point where all of the bands would begin to assemble. Looking west down Broadway Street, Enid Oklahoma from the dealership (at least for this young lad) it looked like the assemblage of bands went on for a mile or more and I had the best seat in the house. Being an Enid High football hero himself, my father was also an avid fan. I would bring one of his stadium seats to the showroom. For some reason there always seemed to be a beautiful Starfire Convertible sitting there. Perhaps it was put there just for me. I put dads stadium seat in the drivers seat crawled up inside, hung my left elbow over the door and felt like a big shot watching all the pretty girls in their twirling costumes and drum majorette uniforms as they warmed up for the final competition of the week.

That's where I fell in love with cars; particularly oldsmobiles from the 50's, 60's and early 70's. Ain't ashamed of it, either. Don't ask me to explain it cause if I had to you'd never understand.

If I were able, I'd have a barn full of 'em.
