School lunch programs and the lowest bidder

Imagine schools feeding children the cheapest and nastiest garbage,
er, excuse me, I mean 'processed foods' available.

Imagine the government and media blaming parents for childhood
obesity, when it's the schools that are feeding kids stuff as bad
or possibly worse than McDonald's.

Remember, Congress declared pizza and french fries to be
'vegetables'.

Well, there's no need to imagine. We learn from 'The Real Food
Channel' that this is a reality in the majority of schools in the
U.S.

High fat, high salt, low nutrient density. That describes school
lunches across the nation.

There is a tangled little web going on when it comes to nutrition and health and obesity, etc. First off, you have to figure this... if ranchers and food producers are putting rBGH (Recombinant bovine growth hormone) and antibiotics in the cattle in order to make them grow faster and fatten them up, you can be pretty sure it is doing the same thing to your children. Also antibiotics in the food causes the good beneficial bacteria in your stomach that helps to produce B vitamins to die, and it also makes germs, bacteria, more resistant...aka:(superbugs) In addition to all this, the FDA makes all food growers irradiate the fruits and vegetables, which causes all of the natural enzymes and vitamins and nutrients to die, which means you are eating dead food which cannot nourish your body. Unfortunately with the addition of all of the GMO's to our food, it causes multiple health problems internally, and the Bt corn (Bt is Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) is a spore forming (flash animation) bacterium that produces crystals protein (cry proteins), which are toxic to many species. In other words, the Bt bacteria keeps reproducing in the gut of people. It is normally used as a little white powder that a farmer puts on the silks of corn to keep the worms out from the eggs that the moths lay on there. It also washes off when it rains. What Monsanto is doing is injecting genes into the actual seed of corn, and it is 1000 times as strong as sprinkling on the silk, and it does NOT wash off.
