Tlar: "Close But No Banana Yet"

09/06/2014
Investor1:    @zaidbenjamin: Brett McGurk, Deputy U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Iraq and Iran, is in #Baghdad to push forward government formation negotiations.

@HaiderAlAbadi: Cabinet formation is in its final stages. Reasons behind delays are firstly that some blocks held off on presenting their candidates 1/3

@HaiderAlAbadi: Secondly, the insistence of some blocks on candidates that do not have the necessary qualifications & specifications which I first outlined

@HaiderAlAbadi: I had hoped all blocks would cooperate for swift formation as they witness challenges Iraq faces& Iraqi ppls eager anticipation for new govt

Tlar:       Close but still no banana as of yet. Signs look good. Articles are all pointing to it is done. We will see. If by tomorrow we have no announcement, it will mean that there are potential problems.

There is enough votes between the Shia and the Sunni to seat this government and Abadi has bent over backwards to appease everyone. So it should get done. Rv will follow with 48 hours if they do.
