Blue-Parrotfish

When the blue parrotfish eats the algae that live on rocks and coral, they also grind parts of the rock up into little pieces of sand and then spit them back out. Scientists believe that this action has attributed to the formation of many of the beaches and small islands in the Caribbean. The blue parrotfish is found throughout much of the Western Atlantic and is the only uniformly blue fish that scientists know of.
Purple-Frog
7. Purple Frog
Also called the pignose frog, this ugly amphibian is found in the Western Ghats in India. Although the local population of humans had known about the frog for decades, the first scientific paper published on its genus and species was released in 2003. The reason it took the frog so long to get noticed is probably due to the fact that it lives underground for most of the year and only comes out for about two weeks out of every year to mate.
Sea-Pig
