The antigen is called HCG (human chorionic gonadtropin)and is only found in a woman when she becomes pregnant. When they put this in the tetanus/diptheria vaccine, it causes the woman's body to produce antibodies against this, thus preventing a woman from becoming pregnant, as the body fights this. The really sad thing is that the WHO forced women in Guatemala (or somewhere like that) and one woman who was already 8 months pregnant then lost her baby right after that.
