National Parks... this is Treason......

Senate Republicans Vote To Sell Off Our Public Lands To Private Industry!!!!!!!!!!!

For over a hundred years, conservation has been a value held in high regard by a majority of Americans. But if Republicans have their way, all the lands we have fought to protect as National Forests and Wildernesses could be handed over to private industry.
Last month, nearly every Republican in the US Senate voted on a budget amendment allowing states to seize public lands, which means every National Forest in the country would be subject to the whims of state lawmakers who could authorize the selling of these lands to private industries for exploitation.
And by exploitation, that means deforestation of lumber resources, the privatization of freshwater sources, drilling and mining for oil and minerals, or used as dumping grounds for hazardous materials. In short, Republicans would be allowing private industries to buy and rape our public land reserves until they are unrecognizable.
The amendment, known as SA 838, was introduced by Alaska GOP Senator Lisa Murkowski. And it sailed through the Senate by a 51-49 vote with all but three Republicans in favor while every Democrat voted against it. A rival bill that would stop the effort to sell public lands was prevented from coming up for a vote.
Of course, Murkowski spun the amendment as a way to improve conservation.
“When we have an opportunity to consider this amendment, a vote for it is really a vote in support of — as a priority of this Congress — comprehensive approaches to land policies to facilitate economic development, empower States and improve our conservation systems,” she said.
All YEAs below are yellow belly Traitors and most are Lawyers .....Our Forefathers would have hung them all....
L
But by passing this amendment, Republicans are not only destroying precious natural treasures that Americans have been enjoying for generations, they are proving once again that they don’t care about this country.
Under this amendment, national forests and wildernesses that have been protected for future generations of Americans to enjoy would be put up for sale, which could very well threaten natural wonders such as the Grand Canyon, the Florida Everglades, and Yellowstone in the future since Republicans have very recently suggested mining and drilling in and around them.
For instance, Republicans have wanted to allow mining operations around the Grand Canyon for years in search of uranium and other valuable substances.
In 2011, former GOP presidential candidate Michelle Bachmann actually said she would consider opening up drilling for oil and gas in the Everglades.
And in Wyoming, a Republican gubernatorial candidate actually called for drilling for oil in Yellowstone.
And that is the wet dream of oil companies, chemical companies, and mining companies who would love nothing more than take every resource they can their greedy hands on until there is nothing left. And you can forget about taking your family to enjoy a nice outing at these parks since the new owners would likely put big ole “PRIVATE PROPERTY” and “NO TRESPASSING” signs up to give Americans the middle finger.
According to Gizmodo, those signs would likely be put up by people like the Koch brothers:
Efforts to “reclaim” public land are financially support by special interest groups like ALEC and Americans For Prosperity. ALEC is primarily funded by ExxonMobil while Americans For Prosperity was founded by David and Charles Koch.
Republicans are so obsessed with taking public lands so they can sell them in the name of profit that they have also pissed off one of their key constituencies: hunters and sportsmen.
Backcountry Hunters & Anglers, a national sportsman organization, blasted the amendment as a destructive measure that would strip the nation of lands that future generations of America should be able to enjoy long into the future, and called for a nationwide backlash.
“Public lands are the fabric that binds America together, and last night’s vote by the Senate sends an alarming message to sportsmen and -women – along with every citizen who values our publicly owned resources. Nationally, an organized, concerted movement is underway to sell off and limit access to America’s public lands and waters. These are not merely the actions of a lunatic fringe. Now is the time to double down and fight back against this ill-conceived idea.”
It’s even more saddening when you consider that Republicans used to champion conservation going all the way back to former President Theodore Roosevelt, who once said:
“Conservation is a great moral issue, for it involves the patriotic duty of insuring the safety and continuance of the nation.”
And then there’s this gem from former President Ronald Reagan:
“The preservation of parks, wilderness, and wildlife has also aided liberty by keeping alive the 19th century sense of adventure and awe with which our forefathers greeted the American West. Many laws protecting environmental quality have promoted liberty by securing property against the destrutctive trespass of pollution. In our own time, the nearly universal appreciation of these preserved landscapes, restored waters, and cleaner air through outdoor recreation is a modern expression of our freedom and leisure to enjoy the wonderful life that generations past have built for us.”
But this current Republican Party is now an enemy of the environment, and one comment on Gizmodo summed up the new GOP perfectly.
“I mean we all know the Republicans are basically the villains from Captain Planet come to life.

UPDATE 4/11/15 at 4:10pm: This article has been edited to reflect that the bill in question would allow states to seize National Forests and public lands outside of National Parks. We regret the error. However, such actions would threaten National Parks and sources have been provided showing that Republicans have proposed opening up National Parks to resource exploitation by oil and mining companies.

I'm going to write our two Republican morons from Idaho and ask where the authority to sell public lands is found. Public lands means the land belongs to the people of America. I don't remember a vote being taken to find out if the people want to sell their lands. These assholes were paid off by the lobbyists, as usual.

I don't vote.
BUT.
Didn't a bunch of people get mad at Democrats and vote them out of office so the Republicans could represent them?

Well the Republicans are representing you, so the only other option is to petition the president you hate so much and tell him to veto the bill.

Looks like it's split down the party line.

Republicans are selling out the country too.

If this were a Republic, the Republicans would still vote to sell your 'land of the free' that the soldiers (soul die er) fought and died for, so someone could make a profit off land that belongs to everyone

Be not deceived by liberal progressives in sheep's skin.....The bill only allows the states themselves to retake control of their own lands, specifically the western united states so they are under state control. Private industry is a lie once again made up by the criminal media, MSNBC, Politico, Red State and others as any business has to have permission from their state.

This has nothing to do with anything except states once again controlling their land.

You stand with the Bundys in Nevada and say the feds have no right to the control lands in the states, now you are upset when the feds admit this is true. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"This fear mongering is a load of bull, I'm friends with Jessica Alba. They will never see me in a camp!" Those who believe this, you are the first who is tossed in one

That is one hundred percent wrong, do you philandering lemmings and sheep still believe this lie!?!? Obama doesn't care about any of you and this is your fate!!!!!

http://beforeitsnews.com/blogging-citizen-journalism/2014/03/fema-united-nations-death-by-guillotine-sunday-law-666-mark-of-the-beast-2451486.html

That is your fate one hundred percent guaranteed, with satanists going first!!!! Especially because that is their main food source.

Are you all that foolish and entirely blind that you believe you will escape your fate? "But I'm friends with Beck and Hannity, I'm untouchable." "But I filed in every federal court the presentments so I'm a sovereign, they'll never touch me." "I got the international court of justice to prosecute them, that will show them, we are free!"

Wrong!!!! Because if you are a corporate citizen, that is your guaranteed fate! If you weren't scared before you sure will be now!!!

Every mechanism you think helps you, works against you. Because this is a spiritual based war and since you are not spiritual, you are unaware that the only escape....the only escape that ever existed is to exit all of Babylon by destroying your citizenship.

One who is not part of Babylon, does not share the fate of Babylon the desolate and every spiritual teaching actively teaches this. So your fate is sealed corporate citizen.....

You will worship at the feet of the Harlot and love it there, or you will be eliminated.
With a nice "Hollywood Film" for your final scene in the movie, because you like all the rest of them are just another slave who does not exist except inside a Crown Copyright corporation.

Hey 11:28 PM - Are you OK dude??? Yes - the people stood with the Bundys to protect their land and to give the criminal Feds the message that they are NOT going to be allowed to take what isn't theirs to take.! And yes, many ARE VERY upset about the criminal Feds now trying to seize the national parks - just like they attempted to seize Bundy's land - so what's YOUR problem? Makes perfect sense. Your comment sounds like the idiot that some of us readers notice visits here daily with 'fear porn' and other pre-school terminology! You want to use 'fear porn' here, too, because this article was published revealing the most recent criminal acts of the CON-gress? You know bro - there are many other websites you can visit that will entertain you more, ones you may agree with like Looney Tunes on YouTube! Why do you come here when it seems that nothing suits you? As we understand it, the goal of this site is to publish information that the main stream media won't - or at best - twists and turns to suit the cabal needs -just like you are doing here.

I am Anonymous 9:52PM
I sure hope so.
Thanks for the clarity.
I don't vote just because of this nonsense.
There is no way I'm setting any man who is my equal before me to represent me, speak for me, do for me, or have any decision in my interest or estate.
We have the same access, some people just like to vote for and pay other people, through taxation, to do their work for them.
Thanks for the clarity.

Much of the remaining wilderness areas are also water catchment areas and now fracking and other forms of destructive exploitation will be allowed inside of it. Owning and controlling the land by the crony corporations of the USG is the modern feudalism, a synthesis of all their corporate constitutions hidden by carefully worded missions and visions that cannot hide the tyranny and hubris of a certain class of human beings gone mad. Corporate governance and self-regulation allow them to act outside of the American constitution unfettered by its moral principles and laws. Only one law they obey; that is to profit above all else.

I'm really confused. Is this bill giving the state lands back into the hands of the state? Why is that a bad thing? The people of each state MUST take responsibility to keep their lands safe from big business. This is the people of each state's responsibility, not the federal government.
ie.. Being from Southern Nevada, this is a great example, not just because of the Bundy Ranch, but also because of Yucca Mountain (look it up). We have been fighting the feds at every turn. Even with Harry Reid there on big business side, the people have still prevailed.

How do you figure that: This has nothing to do with anything except states once again controlling their land. ?? While yes - the states control their own land - SINCE WHEN HAS THAT STOPPED THE CRIMINAL CORPORATION IN DC FROM DOING ANYTHING? They are total idiots - most don't know their ass from a hole in the ground. These idiots will do about anything their corporate bosses tell them to do, and right now start the civil war is one of those things. What better way to put another knife in to the people than to attack states rights? As I see it, the best way to front off this latest ATTACK by the corporation is to target your own representative idiots in the state corporation capitals and let them know in no uncertain terms that the land belongs to the people and they had better remember that and protect what's in each state from the thugs in DC. If doing this incurs another 'Bundy standoff' in each state, so be it. Run the feds out once and for all. Better yet, run them out of DC and the entire nation. This is NOT OUR government but a mafia coupe takeover that has continued for far too long. It is the responsibility of those of us who know to get our own arsses in gear and get rid of the problem.

Confused? Do you have a cat? If some people were driving through your property and decided to pick up your cat and do something with that cat that you didn't know about and wouldn't approve of, much less that the people don't have ownership of that cat in the first place, what would you call that? Unless I am totally confused, it appears to me that the state lands still belong to the states and to the people BUT the criminals in DC are doing THEIR THING as history proves out - thinking they can and will control and take whatever the heck they want whether that is approved by the people and legal or not. The people and the states need to rise up and prove that this will NOT be allowed. These a-holes need to be put in their place. Even their 'government' is a fabrication and should be eliminated once and for all.

WOW! What powerful negative pictures you paint! As a newbie, do you think your approach is the best one to 'teach' others? Or is it power that you want, lording yourself over the rest of us? The only 'fear mongering' is from you!!

The ONLY government agencies that have the ability to own land is for Posts, Forts, other Needful Buildings, et cetera, and they (all government agencies) do not have "RIGHT OF SOIL". Look that up in your Funk & Wagnel. "RIGHT OF SOIL" will give you some badly needed education.
