Dumpster Diver Note Goes Viral: Restaurant Owner Leaves Touching, Surprising Note To Dumpster Diver

An Oklahoma restaurant owner is making headlines for a touching note she left for a dumpster diver who had been digging through trash behind her building.
It has been reported that the mystery person had been going through the trash rather frequently — mostly food containers. Although she doesn’t exactly know what the person may be looking for, there’s a strong possibility they’re looking for food. During a brief interview with Oklahoma’s Fox-13, Ashley Jiron, owner of P.B. Jams, shared how the person’s hardships personally makes her feel.
“That really, it hurt me that someone had to do that,” she said.
So, Jiron decided to do something about the situation. She wanted to make an offer to the mystery dumpster diver. She opted to write a brief note offering free food during business hours.
“To the person going through our trash for their next meal, you’re a human being and worth more than a meal from the dumpster. Please come in during business hours for a classic Pb&j, fresh veggies, and a cup of water at no charge. No questions asked. – your friend, the owner.”
The touching note, which was placed on the window inside the restaurant, quickly caught the attention of patrons, reports WGN-TV. However, the note has gone viral since a photo of it was shared online. The note has garnered attention from thousands via social media. The restaurant owner has also been applauded by several news outlets for the touching gesture.
Jiron plans to leave the note in the window until the mystery dumpster diver stops in. But, unfortunately, the person has not come forward.
