Social media abuzz with earthquake felt in Saginaw, Midland, Bay counties

Michigan at 12:23 p.m. Saturday had, an earthquake that measured 4.2 on the Richter scale, according to the U.S. Geological Survey and the National Weather Service.

SAGINAW, MI — A 4.2 magnitude earthquake hit a large part of Michigan about 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, and social media sites lit up about the rumble.
The United States Geological Survey website confirmed the tremors felt across Michigan Saturday afternoon were caused by an earthquake in Kalamazoo County.
Some residents said the rumble lasted a few seconds and many thought it could've been a car crash.

What's really weird is that was about the same time I dropped a 3 ton piece of steel on the floor by accident when I was trying to flip it over to weld on the other side... coincidence?
