Video: Swarm of bees brings Farnham town centre to a standstill

Bees swarming through Farnham
Comments (0) A SWARM of bees which "turned the sky black" brought Farnham town centre to a standstill this afternoon (Wednesday).
Rob Swift, COO of everylifetechnologies.com, based in Castle Street, captured the terrifying swarm on camera.
He said it was "like something out of the bible".

Mr Swift told the Mirror: "It was mad. They just came from nowhere. There were thousands and thousands of them coming down the High Street. Outside the office everyone was running around.
"I first noticed when a few bees came in through the window. Then our receptionist called us and said we should shut the windows. The sky was black with them.

"They were absolutely everywhere. One person looked out the window and said, 'Is this real?'

Thousands of bees swarm through Farnham"It was very bizarre. It was virtually silent. You would have thought it would be buzzing like crazy. It was quite eerie."
The episode lasted for about 15 minutes in which cars stopped and pedestrians fled indoors to safety.
The spring-time swarming phenomenon is part of the life cycle of the honey bee in which a new colony is formed.
The queen bee leaves the hive with a large group of worker bees searching for a new home.
The British Beekeeper's Association says that swarming bees are not dangerous.

That's really strange........Watch the video, and notice, the people on the street don't seem affected by the bees at all. You would think that in a swarm like this, the people would be under cover......but they don't seem to notice the bees!
