My friend and colleague Lance Wallace PhD, retired senior chemist at EPA, analyzed fabric softeners including Bounce.
He was so assigned because the Consumer Product Safety Commission had received more complaints about Bounce than about any other consumer product in the 1990s!
He found three pages of toxic chemicals, sufficient to kill human brain cells even by inhalation from a distance (i.e., second-hand inhalation), and also to cause cancer and birth defects.

Bounce is also deadly to insects and animals, as demonstrated by toxicology studies performed by Anderson Labs, formerly of Boston, now based in Vermont. I have personally witnessed such studies.
